Amy ran the monument Avenue 10K race in Richmond, and also helped/volunteered during the children's race. Over 1700 kids raced. The kids race is through the Fit for Life Kids Challenge Organization which I am a proud supporter and volunteer.

We arrived at Monroe Park at about 6am to start preparing for the children that would run the race.  We had to make sure that they were registered, had t shirts, and were kept track of by their parents :)

Here I am waiting in anticipation with Evie, one of the coordinators and one of the many Richmond City police officers who helped.  Our jobs during the children's race were to stand at the finish line and direct the kids to different "holding pens" were their parents could pick them up.  It was quite celebratory, but at the same time complete pandemonium!

Two beautiful little girls who ran the race, and were excited to see a "real princess!"

My friend Matt and I ran the 6.2 miles in just over an hour, and in this picture, as you can see, we are quite exhausted!  We had an amazing time though!
